Paul Gray MSc CBT, MAREBT, PGD. CBHyp, D.Hyp, MBSCH.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of focused attention, and when used within
a strategic and therapeutic framework can act as a powerful catalyst for maximising
potential and for changing self-limiting beliefs and behaviours.
Our thoughts, feelings and beliefs influence the choices we make and how we react
to events and situations. Sometimes these psychological patterns prove dysfunctional
and result in mental distress and/or unwanted physical symptoms or responses.
Cognitive Behaviour Hypnotherapy incorporates hypnosis & cognitive & behavioural
therapeutic techniques to modify or alter these patterns and reformulate unhealthy
thought processes and behaviours into more sensible, realistic and healthy ones.
It can successfully be used in the treatment and relief of a variety of psychologically
related conditions and symptoms including:
General anxiety disorder, social phobia, panic disorder, hypochondriasis, depression,
drug and alcohol addiction, various relationship issues, weight control, eating disorders,
performance anxiety, exam nerves, self confidence, phobias, sleep issues, stress
and stress related conditions such as I.B.S., skin problems and nervous rashes, and
breaking unwanted habits such as smoking, bed wetting and nail biting.
